KRPT: Raleigh, North Carolina; I am KRPT and this is about my endless journey of weight loss and/or maintenance and fitness. My weight issues started as a child and it is something that I have been struggling with since I was 9 or 10. Through my adult life, I have been on just about every kind of diet. When I set me mind to it, I could lose the weight but I could never keep it off. In March of 2006, I had gastric bypass surgery and it changed my life. I lost over 200 pounds and became a personal trainer. 2011 has been a difficult "health" year for me. I have had three surgeries - two because of injuries to my right wrist and knee and a hysterectomy. Don't worry, I am not going to be blogging about menopause - my patch is working just fine! But because of these surgeries and recovering from them, I have not been able to workout the way I want, I have started eating badly again - some weight have been gain. So, this about the continuous journey for health and fitness. And, so it begins...
